I'm gonna love you, like the women I love

Made a pair of yet another new spectacles!
I got the frame from a flea market at Scape, and got the lens fitted at my optician (whom I have been going to for years!) He charges about $40 just to have the lens fitted in which I think is pretty reasonable. It's called Optics N Vision, under a HDB block opposite the Pinnacle, at Outram.

Andddddd here I have more food posts for you!
Seems like we have been doing nothing but eating, good food and trying out new eateries :)
I promise more exciting posts other than food coming up, heh!

Yoshimaru Ramen Bar @ Holland V

One of my favourite ramen places :)

Hakata Ramen

Modesto's @ Vivo City

Ambience at Modesto's was nice, though it was crowded and rather noisy. You still have your own privacy at your own table!
I don't remember enjoying my dinner much though.. Heh
Pizza was better than my pasta, which I was struggling so much to finish!

Torte @ Waterloo Street

Chubs knew about this quiet little place from reviews online (i think?) he read about the chef, and we decided to go for it before church service one Sunday.

There arn't many selection of food to choose from, which I didn't mind at all (coz I can be really undecided with a wide range) and all of them were only $10! Even on a Sunday! Good deal :) :)

I went with fish & chips (though not my first choice, I don't like fried fishes!)
it was more of a tender fried fish, instead of those really battered kind which is good for me
Came with potato wedges which were a tad hard.. and I loveeeeeee the salad.
All western dishes like these should come with a good salad, it perfects everything.

Crazy person said he was still hungry and wanted to try their buffalo wings.
And so I was forced to eat despite being filled with my main course :(
He even took an unglam photo of me in the process.

Chubs's roasted chicken, with my favouriteeeee baby potatoes!
I should have eaten this dish instead!
And I know. He still takes awesome food photos.

Beach Road Prawn Mee

Ahhhh... what yummy prawn mee.. Can never go wrong with this.
We had this twice in 2 weeks!

Santouka Ramen @ The Central

Supposedly one of the good ramens here, but... not for me I guess.
Doesn't give me the 'kick' feeling.
(As you can see, I didn't even bother editing this picture hahaha)

Mad Nest @ East Coast Rd

Further down away from beach rd prawn mee, is this new eatery called Mad Nest.
(we also visited their sister eatery just next to them, Mad Thai!)
We visited this place quite late at night around 11pm, and it was still buzzing with people!
Staff are friendly and approachable, some of them are even Caucasians.
Maybe that's why they were all so friendly, hehe.

Sushi counter!

The whole place looks new and very modernly furnished.
I enjoyed the ambiance inside as it was quieter as to the outside where they were showing soccer matches.

Tried their ramen, which was alright.
Not the best, but will come back again to try the others because they have a wide variety of cuisines on the menu.
Really spoiled for choice!

Brasserie Wolf @ Robertson Quay

Couldn't decide what to eat during National Day and we were around Robertsons again and Brassier Wolf was having this set dinner promo so we decided to go for it..
Wasn't very near where the fireworks were but we managed to catch a glimpse of it from where we were sitting!

Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy my dinner.
I had some soup for my appetizer (which I can't remember, and I didn't Burpple it, dang!)

This was my main course:
Went ahead for a salmon fish (coz it's my favourite!) but this one was just weird.... I don't know why they added the battered bits on top. They had peas too which I don't fancy.
Oh well! It was just somewhere to fill our stomachs on that public holiday.

Nakhon Kitchen (Bedok)

Had Nakhon Kitchen at the branch near my place, which I haven't been to for years!
The last time was when I was still studying so it was quite long ago.

Always love my beef noodles so I had this:
Seems a tad peppery/herbal-y for my liking. I think I prefer chinese/vietnamese beef noodles more than thai ones..
We also had sambal kangkong (never fails!) and tried some fried chicken too.

Sidewalk Tavern @ Siglap

Ordered a tomato based lasagna and it was yummy till.... it tasted cold :(
They didn't heat it up probably so the insides that were thick weren't hot at all!
We took the waiter & they got it reheated up, came back piping hot
the waiter even came back to check if it was hot. Good service I must say :)

Phew~~ Here ends the the long food post! I took so many days to complete this coz I had no motivation towards the end...
More exciting posts coming up!
