Happy 2015 x

Happy new year!
It's been 2 years since my last post! Dee said my reader viewership dropped from one (ie him) to zero. Heh. We suddenly talked about this dormant site today and I thought I'd check on it to see if blogger actually closed it down because of inactivity. They didn't, and I had so much fun reading back my posts!!! Man, that's why people keep blogs don't they? So that in the future they can all read back and laugh at themselves. It was nice revisiting back our Melbourne holiday! But anyway I really can't keep up the discipline on blogging so often, so this post may be the first and last one for this year.

Oh yes happy 2015!!!
2014 Christmas was the first year we spent in Singapore since we got together. We didn't do much really, we only just had a fantastic meal at this place called FOC. Not free of charge sorry (but foc for me, thanks dee!) its called "fire" in Barcelonean. Interesting......
I'm typing this on my phone so I don't know if I can upload any pics..

Udderlicious

September was a very happening month for me!
After paintball on the 1st, I met up my friends whom I met during my stint at Udders about 4 years ago.
Thankful that we're still in contact even after all of us have left to further our education/work experiences :)

The only missing person here is Wayne!
Can you imagine all these girls are younger than me? (except for Jack, the store manager!)

We were all once ice cream girls!

Settled down at Coffee Bean for drinks after dinner at Food for Thought

Jack captioned this "Abs never even suspected!"
Yeah.... I really didn't know they were gonna surprise me! :)

Here's me with my little birthday muffin, a day before my birthday!

And the beginning of crazy photo taking sessions began hahaha

It's a game to cover each other's faces and see which person's face appears the most in a picture!
I think it's a Korean game... I saw it on Running Man in one episode!
And boy was it hilarious!! Hahahah

One of the many super unglam shots... see where all our hands are!

Ending the post of me and Mingmin! :)
I had really fun that day and I just wanted to go home, bathe and sleep!!
Until............
I had another surprise!!!
Which will be in the next post! Teehee

My dream house

One fine day while looking at my cosmetic products on my shelf, I thought I'd love to have some proper cosmetics organizer some day (as if it isn't really organized already)! I googled for one, started with some acrylic organizer, but chanced upon a really nice white wooden one! I really like those wooden, nature kinda stuff!

Then I realised... wait a minute.... This website has so much of my favourite things!!!!
So here are some pictures of how I'd like my house to be, credits to pbteen.com :)

Bedroom

Room with loads of sunlight, and wooden furniture

Love this chest of drawers! Thankfully Ikea has them

Getting Dressed

Absolutely love this make up area!!! I imagine lots of efficiency being made!
Only thing I'd change is the middle portion, I don't like to sit down and do my make up. I like to be really close to the mirror hahah

This could be in the middle as an alternative
Not the mirror though!

And this was the cosmetic organizer that initially caught my eye!
Pretty right? Can even have your name there!

Office
I'd like my study room to have big windows as well!
As you can see, I love all things in white furnishings. Just makes it look so much more classy.

I don't mind an L shape table too, but hopefully not facing a wall.
I see a sewing machine there!!
(Photo taken from Ikea's website, just to show that I want THAT particular chair.)

I don't mind having some wooden keyboard and mouse too :)

Vintage office supplies!

Living Room
Photo frame collage

Quoting one of Ikea's wise quotes: "A smart entrance leads to a smooth exit"
Love it when all my necessary stuff needed are just hanging by the door so I'll never forget them and move out fast at that!

Wall shelves are very important too!

So as some of these ratten baskets... I already have some in my room from Ikea!

I can't wait to start building my own home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

Go Kart & Paint Ball!

On the first day of September, my colleagues and I went on a trip to JB for some go-kart & paintball!
We hired a mini bus to take about 10 of us to take us directly to all the places we wanted to go.

Had our breakfast at some prata shop the driver recommended, then off we went into the deep forest for the go-kart! I think we spent about half an hour driving through the dense forest. When we reached there, we saw that that majority of the cars parked there are from Singapore! Guess this is a pretty well known place.

Before setting off into our karts!
Had to put on the shower caps coz their helmets are really really disgusting.

Right after race! I was soooo slow, everyone over took me. Hahhaa

Pit stop for lunch! Carol and I.. Partners at work!

Had to wait for our turn at the Paintball place so we ended up playing some bowling for an hour...

Then we got changed into our army uniform that the guys really kindly brought for us to wear!!!!
Our act-serious faces.

Then "oh-ya-pei-ya-som" to split up into 2 teams.

Team Orange!

Team Blue! We have an extra person because we have only 2 guys (I guess?! Haha)

Ready with our masks!

Ready with our guns!

Ready to go to battle!

Some scary shit. I was so terrified of getting shot and hurt (4 days later will be my birthday so I didn't want any bruises!!! Actually, I just didn't even want to endure any pain) that I completely used up all my 100 pellets in one round. Usually people play about 3 - 4 rounds for 100 pellets. I just kept shooting when I saw someone! Hahahah

The others went on to their next few rounds and the pellets were coming through to the viewing corridor! We didn't wanna get stained with inked so we hid hahaha...
Looked kinda obscene though!

Our last group photo showing off all our bruises.....
As expected, I had none!!! Whheeeee!! Hahaahah

Melb Day 8: Last full day!

I know, I am so bad at keeping up to date with my blog :(

It was our last full day in Melbourne city so we really wanted to make full use of it! Or rather me... which means I wanted a very very fruitful shopping day!

Chubs went to meet a famous food blogger for lunch and off I went to a nearby mall and I was really excited to spend all my money!!! Hehehehe. That feeling is really great I tell you :P

I went to Jay Jays and fell in love with the candy coloured jeans! These jeans are pretty fashionable right now, and they were going for 2 for $50. I stayed in the shop for pretty long that Chubs was already done with his lunch meeting when I was still there. In the end, he decided to get the jeans for me!! I got an orange and a purple one. He thought it was 2 for $25 though, heehee! :P

Feeling really famished, we stopped by this place called "captains of industry" in one of the small lanes.
A pretty neat place with loads of vintage furniture. Chubs said he really like this cafe a lot!

Their menu was pretty interesting though, it was a really big chalkboard which the staff held up for us to read. Haha. They only had 3 main course to choose from too.

Love my mocha and the really vintage spoon that came with it!

My order. I chose this salmon one coz it was the only one that seemed appealing. The others were either too expensive, or that I had no idea what it was.

I really love this weird dish though! I have no idea what the sauces are, but I love the salmon and all the veggies that came with it!

Then we went shopping at Harbour Town (all the outlet stores!!) and we got sooo tired. This tired is in a good way :) Went back home to change and went to town for Crystal Jade dinner with Emma & her friends.

The only thing that I liked so much (and left a deep impression) during the dinner was this wintermelon soup!!!! It's heavenly and even the insides are soo soft and yummy. I've never seen such a dish before, really. I really want this again!

Came back home and packed! Had to be up really early the next day.

Recently fell in love with all things mint/turquoise!

Took some last few pictures together :)

My favourite cat!!!

Thank you Em & her household for hosting us :)
& this is the end of my Melbourne trip in 2012! Phewwww like finally!
Happy new year guys!

Melb Day 7 - Back in Melb City!

So sorry for the long absence! My blogger ran out of space to host all my pictures, and I had to rehost them back to my good old trusty Photobucket, but that gave me problems as well! For some reason some of my photos just simply won't upload successfully :( I gave up, went for my holiday to Bangkok, came back and forgot all about blogging. Or rather I lost the motivation to. Sigh, why so little space blogspot!

Anyway, on our 7th day we checked out of Morningstar and drove down to the main street for breakfast at The Boyz 4 Breakie (don't understand the twit language). I don't know why I don't have a picture of this! Hmmm...
We shopped around for a while and bought some souvenirs which I am happy with :) Then we made our way back to the city. Didn't take very long, only about 1 very sunny hour with the sun in our direction most of the way! >.<

When we arrived in the city we went straight to visit Monk Bodhi Coffee that Chubs missed when we made our first trip there.

Got my mocha as usual, but it wasn't great. Left me feeling lethargic even! Love hate relationship with coffees :( The place was packed but we thankfully got a seat at a very very tight corner of a table.

He had to do some work stuff around Richmond area, and Em said that she could go over after her work so he dropped me there and had some nice quality bestie time in Ikea! Heh. Then she had to leave me and I was stranded along the shops by the road which I was getting bored of when it started to drizzle! Good thing Chubs managed to find me and rescued me after he was done. Thank God for Google maps, really!

Our dinner plans for the day was visiting this really friendly and helpful guy whom he met during his last trip to Melbourne (which was just 2 months back or so). At that point, he was so friendly I thought he knew Chubs for a long time!

While we were on our way there,
We came across our names - BeeDee Bags!!! How cool! Haha

They couldn't cook for us in the end because their son was sick so mum had to bring him to see the doctor. The men ta bao-ed pizza from somewhere nearby and I got to entertain the little kid for a while! He's really lovely :) Dad's malaysian and mum's swedish (lots of Ikea stuff around the house, I love!)

Reading a bed time story :)

And I read him one too!!! Hehe

We left after lots of talking, and then this crazy boy here said the pizza didn't make him full so we went to have thai..... At Lygon Street!! I think we went there 5 times that trip.

My tummy wasn't good again and I'm not sure why I ordered tom yam soup.....
I can't even take spiciness! Didn't finish this :(
Oh this was at Ying Thai, apparently a very famous thai place at Lygon!

And so finally back home to our warm room and saw that Burpple is #1 in iTunes!
Praise God! :)

I also surfed the web with a cat.
Haha! Goodnight! :)
